Yesterday we had the right royal pleasure of filming Chris Barber at the Troubadour Club, we covered Trad, Lonnie, Skiffle, Blues, Jazz, The Marquee Club and more. It turns out that although his first stereo album ‘Folk Barber Style’ pictures him in front of the club, he never actually went in or even recorded it there. Dolly Turfus who ran the door there for ten years, not only told us her stories but also stayed to hear Chris as well and was equally fascinated. What a lovely day.
