I have just had the pleasure of a long overdue meet up with Al Clarke who was the Virgin Records press officer from the early/mid Seventies to the late Eighties. We had both worked together at the short lived Raft Records in the early Seventies with a label roster of Family, Linda Lewis, Beckett, Kilburn & The High Roads and the Soft Machine. Al then moved on to the early Virgin label and held court with the newspapers for many a year.

He has forwarded me  this picture of the pair of us, still with hair, on the 1977 Sex Pistols Jubilee Boat Trip. It is the first time I have ever seen it but our memories of those years were very entertaining and a great drink or two was enjoyed.
