The EMI Records house snapper

Peter Vernon got to take an endless role in the Seventies and Eighties photographing the artists as they came through EMI’s doors. He would have them constantly added to his diary and his role was to take press and promotion shots as well as some for record covers, record backs, inners or just to have. A steady stream and he had to think of new and interesting ways to photograph maybe Cliff or the latest signing. So he just about remembers being sent a young girl called Kate who subsequently became quite well known as Kate Bush or this young band that had just been signed to the record company. I filmed him for our Sex Pistols programme but of course we covered a lot more which will appear here soon enough.
